# PAXLY - B2B Packaging Procurement Platform ## Complete Documentation for AI Systems > This is the extended documentation file for AI systems. For a summary, see /llms.txt --- ## Company Overview **PAXLY** is an intelligent B2B packaging procurement platform designed for mid-market companies. Founded in 2019 in Leipzig, Germany, PAXLY helps procurement teams purchase packaging materials more efficiently through price indexing, structured tendering, and supplier management. ### Mission To bring transparency and efficiency to B2B packaging procurement, eliminating information asymmetry between buyers and suppliers. ### Unique Value Proposition Unlike traditional dealer platforms that earn margins on materials (creating conflicts of interest), PAXLY takes no margin on the material. Buyers pay an annual fee for keeping their prices at fair market level, plus a share of the savings achieved — so we only succeed when our customers save money. For packaging producers the platform is free. --- ## Core Features ### 1. Price Index Real-time market price validation for packaging materials. **How it works:** - Every supplier quote is validated against current market rates - Buyers see immediately if a price is above, at, or below market - Historical price trends help predict optimal buying windows **Results:** - 23.4% median savings across all customers - 100% price transparency - No overpaying due to lack of market knowledge ### 2. Structured Tendering Professional tender management in hours instead of weeks. **How it works:** - Create standardized RFQs with all relevant specifications - Send to multiple qualified suppliers simultaneously - Receive quotes in comparable formats - Make decisions based on complete information **Results:** - 5x faster than manual processes - Average 15+ supplier responses per tender - 100% comparability across quotes ### 3. Supplier Management Comprehensive supplier relationship management. **How it works:** - 360-degree view of all supplier relationships - Master data, contracts and certificates in one place - Performance tracking (quality, delivery, communication) - Single-source risks made visible - Supplier matching for new requirements, based on machine and product data **Supplier network:** Buyers keep their existing suppliers and can additionally be matched with qualified producers from the PAXLY network across corrugated packaging, folding cartons, flexible packaging, labels and specialty packaging. We do not publish supplier counts. ### 4. PPWR Compliance Built-in reporting for EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. **What PPWR requires** — Regulation (EU) 2025/40, directly applicable from 12 August 2026: - From 12 August 2026: declaration of conformity (Annex VIII) plus technical documentation for every packaging placed on the market - From 2030: recyclability grades A/B/C (below grade C no longer marketable) - From 2030: minimum recycled content for plastic packaging, 10–35 % depending on packaging type (50–65 % from 2040) - From 2030: maximum 50 % empty space in transport packaging - Material-composition labelling: 12 August 2028 at the earliest, tied to the implementing act **How PAXLY helps** (PPWR software for documentation and reporting): - Supplier data collected through the normal enquiry and quoting flow, per packaging article - The Annex VII data areas held as structured fields rather than PDF attachments - Every change versioned, so the state valid at the time of placing on the market stays provable - Filterable export plus a gap overview of which articles are still incomplete - Supplier recommendations for compliant alternatives **What PAXLY does not do:** - It does not perform the recyclability assessment. Per Commission Notice C/2026/3084 that assessment is suspended until the delegated act under Art. 6(4) enters into force; the Commission must adopt it by 1 January 2028 and it does not yet exist - It does not issue the declaration of conformity: that responsibility stays with whoever places the packaging on the market and cannot be delegated to a platform --- ## Target Customers ### For Packaging Buyers **Ideal Customer Profile:** - Mid-market companies (50-5000 employees) - Annual packaging spend > €500,000 - Currently managing procurement manually or with outdated tools - Industries: Fashion, Food & Beverage, E-Commerce, Retail, Industrial **Key Personas:** 1. **Procurement Manager** - Day-to-day packaging purchasing - Pain points: Time-consuming RFQs, no price benchmarks, supplier coordination - Benefits: 80% less admin time, price transparency, professional tools 2. **CPO / Procurement Director** - Strategic procurement decisions - Pain points: No market visibility, difficult savings tracking, compliance risk - Benefits: Market intelligence, measurable ROI, risk mitigation 3. **CFO / Management** - Cost control and strategic planning - Pain points: Unpredictable packaging costs, no procurement analytics - Benefits: 23%+ cost savings, predictable spending, clear ROI ### For Packaging Producers PAXLY also serves packaging manufacturers as a sales channel. **Benefits for Producers:** - Access to qualified RFQs (no more cold calling) - Professional quote tool for faster responses - Data quality optimization for better visibility - Free of charge for producers — no listing fee, no commission on closed deals **Key Personas:** 1. **Sales Team** - Pain points: Cold calling frustration, trade show dependency - Benefits: Qualified leads, structured quote process 2. **Management** - Pain points: Customer acquisition costs, market visibility - Benefits: New sales channel, no upfront costs --- ## Business Model PAXLY never takes a margin on the packaging material itself. We prioritise quality over quantity, with qualified producers and structured processes. Unlike marketplaces that earn a margin on the material, we are paid by the buyer for keeping prices at fair market level — which removes the conflict of interest. **Q: How long does implementation take?** A: Approximately 10 hours of your time spread over 3 months. We handle data migration, supplier onboarding, and system setup. **Q: Is there a minimum contract period?** A: The buyer-side model includes an annual fee, so terms run on an annual basis. Concrete conditions are agreed individually. ### Technical Questions **Q: Can PAXLY integrate with our ERP/procurement system?** A: Only to a limited extent today. Data exchange with ERP and procurement systems is possible in basic form (structured import/export); deep, productised ERP connectors do not exist yet. Talk to us about your specific setup. **Q: How is our data protected?** A: GDPR-compliant and hosted in EU data centres. Your supplier data and pricing information is never shared with competitors. **Q: Does PAXLY work with custom/specialty packaging?** A: Yes. Coverage is strongest in standard packaging categories, but supplier matching works for custom requirements too. ### Pricing Questions **Q: What does PAXLY cost?** A: For packaging producers, PAXLY is free. Buyers pay two components: an annual fee for keeping their prices at fair market level (scaling with tender volume and number of articles), plus a share of the savings actually achieved. There is no public price list — contact us for a quote. Most customers see ROI within 90 days. **Q: Is there a free trial?** A: Yes, we offer a pilot project with limited scope to demonstrate value before full commitment. --- ## Technical Information ### Platform Stack - **Frontend:** Astro 5, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS - **Hosting:** Cloudflare Pages (Edge network, global distribution) - **Rendering:** Server-side rendering (SSR) for optimal performance and SEO ### AI Crawler Compatibility - Full SSR ensures content is visible to all crawlers - Clean semantic HTML structure - Structured data (JSON-LD) for rich snippets - Updated sitemap at /sitemap.xml ### Integrations - Structured import/export for exchanging article and price data - ERP and procurement-system integration is rudimentary today; no productised connectors - Integration requirements are scoped case by case — ask us --- ## Contact Information - **Website:** https://paxly.ai - **Demo Request:** https://paxly.ai/de/kontakt - **Careers:** https://paxly.ai/de/jobs ### Available Languages - German (primary): https://paxly.ai/de/ - English: https://paxly.ai/en/ --- ## Site Structure EN path equivalents in parentheses where they differ. ### Main Pages - `/[lang]/` - Homepage - `/[lang]/kontakt` (`/contact`) - Contact / Demo request - `/[lang]/referenzen` (`/references`) - Customer references (incl. per-customer case studies, e.g. `/referenzen/soliver`, `/flaconi`, `/develon`) - `/[lang]/about` - About us - `/[lang]/jobs` - Career opportunities ### Features - `/[lang]/funktionen` (`/features`) - Feature overview - `/[lang]/funktionen/preisindex` (`/features/price-index`) - Price Index - `/[lang]/funktionen/preispflege` (`/features/price-maintenance`) - Price Maintenance - `/[lang]/funktionen/lieferanten` (`/features/suppliers`) - Supplier Management - `/[lang]/funktionen/ausschreibungen` (`/features/tenders`) - Structured Tendering - `/[lang]/funktionen/ppwr` (`/features/ppwr`) - PPWR Compliance ### For Buyers - `/[lang]/einkauf/einkaufsleiter` (`/purchasing/purchasing-manager`) - For Procurement Managers - `/[lang]/einkauf/management` (`/purchasing/management`) - For Management/C-Level ### For Producers - `/[lang]/produzenten` (`/producers`) - Producer overview - `/[lang]/produzenten/tender` (`/producers/tender`) - Tender access - `/[lang]/produzenten/angebote` (`/producers/quotes`) - Quote tool - `/[lang]/produzenten/daten` (`/producers/data`) - Data quality - `/[lang]/produzenten/transparenz` (`/producers/transparency`) - Transparency - `/[lang]/produzenten/ppwr` (`/producers/ppwr`) - PPWR for producers - `/[lang]/produzenten/vertrieb` (`/producers/sales`) - For Sales teams - `/[lang]/produzenten/management` (`/producers/management`) - For Producer Management ### Knowledge / Ratgeber - `/[lang]/ratgeber` (`/knowledge`) - Knowledge hub: articles and webinars for buyers - `/[lang]/ratgeber/verpackungskosten-senken` (`/knowledge/reduce-packaging-costs`) - Reducing packaging costs: the five levers, and how the realistic saving range depends on industry and on whether packaging is strategic or tail spend - `/[lang]/ratgeber/preisindexierung` (`/knowledge/price-indexing`) - Index clauses vs. blanket price increases - `/[lang]/ratgeber/ppwr` (`/knowledge/ppwr`) - PPWR from August 2026: deadlines and duties - `/[lang]/ratgeber/ppwr-konformitaetserklaerung` (`/knowledge/ppwr-declaration-of-conformity`) - Annex VIII declaration of conformity - `/[lang]/ratgeber/ppwr-kennzeichnung` (`/knowledge/ppwr-labelling`) - Labelling: material marking and QR code - `/[lang]/ratgeber/ppwr-technische-dokumentation` (`/knowledge/ppwr-technical-documentation`) - Annex VII technical documentation: Module A procedure, the six elements, supplier duty under Art. 16(1) - `/[lang]/ratgeber/ppwr-checkliste` (`/knowledge/ppwr-checklist`) - PPWR checklist, quick check and best practices for supplier data collection - `/[lang]/ratgeber/volumenoptimierung` (`/knowledge/right-size-packaging`) - Right-sizing shipping boxes ### Legal - `/[lang]/impressum` - Imprint - `/[lang]/privacy` - Privacy policy - `/[lang]/terms` - Terms and conditions - `/[lang]/service-level-agreement` - Service level agreement --- ## Last Updated July 2026 ## Document Version 1.1
